Please note:  These metal sap buckets are no longer manufactured.  They are USED.  They come to us in large numbers straight from their previous lives working for large Maple Syrup producers.  Some have dents, some need to be cleaned.  We sell thousands of them.  Please expect that you may need to clean some, and you may need to bang out the odd dent.

An almost-perfect starter kit!

We are new to tapping trees and purchased the 10-pce metal maple syrup kit. As eco-conscious woodlot owners, we were thrilled to find a supplier of metal buckets, lids, and taps. The ordering process went smoothly and we were surprised at how quickly the product arrived. Just in time for sugaring season! Or so we thought... Unfortunately, we forgot to include a tapping bit in our order because, strangely, this critical component isn't part of the kit. A proper 5/16 tapping bit for Maple trees isn't just something you can pick up at the local hardware store. If it weren't for this piece being excluded from the 10-Piece Metal Maple Syrup Kit, we would have given the product 5 stars.
